Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, flat surface.

  1. Connect interface cable: Choose USB, Ethernet, or serial cable and connect to appropriate port on printer and host system.
  2. Connect power: Plug the AC adapter into the printer and then into a power outlet (100-240V AC, 50/60Hz).
  3. Load paper: Open paper compartment, insert roll, and thread paper through guide.

First-Time Setup

  4. Close cover: Ensure paper aligns with marks; close until it clicks.
  5. Feed paper: Press FEED button to advance paper to cutter position.

WARNING! Do not touch thermal print head with fingers; use isopropyl alcohol and lint-free cloth for cleaning only.

Printer Configuration

Interface Selection: Set DIP switch 1-3 for USB, Ethernet, or serial. Paper Width: Set DIP switch 4 for 58mm or 80mm. Auto-cutter: Enable/disable via DIP switch 5. Character Table: Select via DIP switches 6-8.

Software Configuration: Use "Brother RJ-3055WB Status Monitor" to adjust print darkness, set network parameters, and update firmware.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug printer before cleaning. Clean exterior with dry cloth. Clean print head periodically with isopropyl alcohol and lint-free cloth.
