Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface near power outlet and network connection.

  1. Remove packaging materials and tape from inside printer.
  2. Install toner cartridges: Open front cover, remove packing material, insert cartridges in correct color slots.
  3. Load paper: Adjust paper guides in tray, load paper face down.
  4. Connect power cord to printer and wall outlet.
  5. Turn on printer using power switch.

WARNING! Toner cartridges are heavy; handle with care. Keep printer in well-ventilated area.

First-Time Configuration

Power on printer; follow initial setup wizard on touchscreen.

  1. Select language: Choose preferred language for interface.
  2. Set date and time: Configure for fax and print logs.
