Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a stable, level surface near a power outlet and within range of your network.

  1. Install Ink Cartridges: Open front cover, remove protective tape from new cartridges, and insert into correct color slots until they click.
  2. Load Paper: Adjust paper guides in the paper tray and load up to 250 sheets of plain paper.
  3. Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the printer and a wall outlet.
  4. Initial Startup: Turn on the printer. The LCD will guide you through initial language and region setup.
  5. Connect to Computer/Network: Use USB cable, Wi-Fi setup wizard, or Ethernet cable.

WARNING! Do not touch the print head or ink cartridge contacts. Handle cartridges carefully to avoid ink spills.

First-Time Configuration

Copying:

  1. Open the front cover.
  2. Press down on the old cartridge to release it, then pull it out.
  3. Remove the protective tape from the new cartridge.
  4. Insert the new cartridge firmly until it clicks.
  5. Close the cover. The printer will start charging ink.
