Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface near power outlet.

  1. Remove packaging materials and tapes from printer.
  2. Install ink cartridges: Open cover, insert cartridges in correct slots, press until click.
  3. Load paper: Adjust paper guides in tray, insert up to 100 sheets.
  4. Connect power cord to printer and wall outlet.
  5. Connect USB cable to computer (if setting up immediately).

WARNING! Do not touch print head or ink contacts. Keep printer horizontal during installation.

First-Time Setup

Power on printer; follow initialization and software installation steps.

  1. Turn on printer using power button; wait for initialization (may take several minutes).

WARNING! Do not open covers during printing. Use recommended paper to avoid jams.

  1. Place item face down on scanner glass, align to corner marks.
  2. Press Scan button on printer or use scanning software on computer.
  3. Select scan settings: Resolution, color mode, file format (PDF, JPEG, etc.).

Note: Keep scanner glass clean for best results.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance.

  1. Clean exterior with soft, dry cloth; avoid liquids.
  2. Clean scanner glass with lint-free cloth and glass cleaner if needed.
  3. Run nozzle check and head cleaning from maintenance menu if print quality declines.
  4. Replace ink cartridges when low or empty (LCD will alert).
  5. Clear paper jams gently following guide in manual.
