Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface near power outlet and network connection.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and tapes from inside and outside the unit.
  2. Install toner cartridges: Open front cover, remove protective materials, insert cartridges in correct slots (Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow).
  3. Load paper: Adjust paper guides in tray, load plain paper face down.
  4. Connect power cord to rear of printer and to AC outlet.
  5. Connect telephone line for fax (if used): Plug line cord into LINE jack.

WARNING! Toner cartridges are sensitive to light; keep covered when not installed. Avoid touching electrical contacts.

First-Time Setup

Power on printer; follow on-screen prompts on LCD panel.

  1. Initial startup: Printer will perform self-test and calibration (may take several minutes).
  2. Set language: Use MENU button to select LANGUAGE, choose ENGLISH (default).

Faxing: - Ensure telephone line connected to LINE jack. - Load document, press FAX, dial number using numeric keypad or speed dial. - Adjust resolution or contrast if needed, press START to send. - Receive faxes automatically; set ring delay if required.

PC-Fax: Send faxes directly from computer using installed software.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug before cleaning. Use dry, lint-free cloth; avoid liquids or aerosols.

  1. Exterior: Wipe with damp cloth, then dry.
  2. Scanner glass: Clean with glass cleaner and soft cloth.
  3. Paper path: Remove jammed paper gently; avoid tearing.
  4. Toner cartridges: Replace when low or empty; recycle old cartridges.
