Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface.

1. Remove all packing materials and tape from printer.
2. Install toner cartridge: Open front cover, remove cartridge from packaging, shake gently, insert until clicks.
3. Load paper: Adjust paper guides in input tray, load up to 250 sheets.
4. Connect power cord to printer and wall outlet.
5. Connect USB cable to printer and computer.

WARNING! Do not touch the green drum surface of the toner cartridge. Keep printer away from heat and humidity.

First-Time Setup

Power on printer; install drivers and software.

1. Turn on printer using power switch.
2. Install driver: Insert CD or download from Brother website, follow on-screen instructions.
3. Select connection type: Choose USB during installation.

Controls and Indicators
