Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface near power outlet.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and tapes from printer interior.
  2. Install toner cartridge: Open cover, remove cartridge from packaging, shake gently, insert until click.
  3. Load paper: Adjust paper guides in tray, load recommended paper (face up).
  4. Connect power cord to printer and wall outlet.
  5. Connect to computer via USB cable or set up network connection.
  6. Install printer driver from included CD or Brother website.

WARNING! Do not touch the green drum surface of the toner cartridge. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or high humidity.

Loading Paper & Toner

  1. Paper Loading: Pull out paper tray, fan paper stack, load with print side up, adjust guides snugly.
