Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface near power outlet and network connection.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and tapes from printer exterior and interior.
  2. Install toner cartridge: Open front cover, remove cartridge from packaging, shake gently, insert until it clicks.
  3. Load paper: Pull out paper tray, adjust guides, load paper (face up), reinsert tray.
  4. Connect power cord to printer and wall outlet.
  5. Turn on printer using power switch.

WARNING! Do not touch the green drum surface of the toner cartridge. Avoid placing printer in dusty, humid, or extremely hot locations.

First-Time Setup

Power on printer; follow initial setup prompts on control panel.

  5. Close front cover. Printer will automatically calibrate.

Cleaning: Unplug printer. Wipe exterior with soft, dry cloth. Clean paper path if paper jams occur frequently. Do not use alcohol or abrasive cleaners.

Drum Unit Replacement: The drum unit (DR-760) is separate from toner. Replace when print quality issues (streaks, fading) persist or when message appears (approx. every 15,000 pages).
