Unpacking and Setup

Remove printer from box and inspect contents. Place on a stable, level surface near a power outlet.

  1. Remove all tape and packing materials from inside and outside the printer.
  2. Install toner cartridges: Open front cover, remove protective tape from cartridges, insert in correct slots (C, M, Y, K).
  3. Load paper: Adjust paper guides in tray, load up to 250 sheets of plain paper.
  4. Connect power cord and plug into AC outlet.

WARNING! Toner cartridges are sensitive; handle with care to avoid spills. Keep printer upright during setup.

First-Time Configuration

Power on printer; follow initial setup prompts on LCD.

  1. Select language: Use arrow keys to choose language, press OK.
  2. Set date and time: Enter current date/time for print logs.
