Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface near power outlet.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and tape from printer exterior and interior.
  2. Install toner cartridge: Open front cover, remove cartridge from packaging, shake gently, insert until it clicks.
  3. Load paper: Adjust paper guides in tray, load paper (plain, letter/A4), ensure not overfilled.
  4. Connect power cable to printer and wall outlet.
  5. Connect to computer: Use USB cable or connect to network via Ethernet cable.

WARNING! Printer is heavy; use two people for lifting. Keep hands clear of moving parts during operation.

First-Time Setup

  5. Close front cover; printer will automatically calibrate.

Cleaning: Unplug printer. Use dry, lint-free cloth to clean exterior. Use approved cleaning cloth for interior rollers (when accessible).

CAUTION! Do not touch imaging drum; avoid exposure to light. Dispose of used cartridges per local regulations.
