Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface near power outlet.

  1. Remove packaging materials and tapes from printer.
  2. Install ink tanks: Open ink tank cover, insert tanks in correct color order (Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow).
  3. Fill ink tanks: Use provided ink bottles to fill each tank to MAX line.
  4. Load paper: Adjust paper guides in multi-purpose tray.
  5. Connect power cord and plug into AC outlet.

WARNING! Handle ink carefully to avoid spills. Keep printer upright during installation.

First-Time Setup

Power on printer; follow on-screen prompts on LCD.

  1. Initial ink charging: Printer will automatically charge ink system (may take several minutes).
  2. Install printhead: Follow LCD instructions to install and align printhead.
