Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface near power outlet.

  1. Remove packaging tape and protective materials from inside printer.
  2. Install toner cartridge: Open front cover, remove cartridge from packaging, shake gently, insert until it clicks.
  3. Load paper: Adjust paper guides in tray, load up to 250 sheets of plain paper.
  4. Connect power cord and USB cable to computer.
  5. Power on printer and install software from included CD or download from Brother website.

WARNING! Do not touch the green drum surface of the toner cartridge. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or high humidity.

Control Panel: LCD display (2 lines), navigation arrows, OK, Stop/Exit, Black & Color Start buttons.

Loading Paper & Toner

Paper Loading:

Toner Replacement:

  1. Open front cover.
  2. Remove old cartridge by pulling green handle.
  3. Unpack new cartridge, shake side-to-side 5-6 times.
  4. Insert into slot, push firmly until it clicks.
  5. Close front cover.

Tip: Use only Brother Genuine TN-210 (standard) or TN-2120 (high yield) toner cartridges.

Printing Documents

  1. Ensure printer is on and connected.
  2. Open document on computer, select File > Print.
  3. Choose "Brother DCP-7030" as printer.
  4. Set preferences: Number of copies, duplex, paper size, quality.
  5. Click Print. Job will start automatically.

Using Control Panel: For reports (e.g., configuration), press Menu, navigate to Report, select desired report, press Black Start.

WARNING! Do not open covers during printing. Allow printed pages to cool before handling.

Copying Documents

  1. Place original face down on scanner glass or face up in ADF (if equipped).
  2. Use control panel to set options: Press Copy.
  3. Adjust number of copies (Up/Down arrows).
  4. Set Reduce/Enlarge, Density, Quality if needed.
  5. Press Black Start (mono) or Color Start (color scan to mono print).

Special Modes: ID Copy (combines two sides of ID onto one page), N-Up (multiple pages per sheet), Poster Copy.

Scanning Documents

Scan to Computer (via USB):

  1. Install Brother software (ControlCenter).
  2. Place document on scanner glass.
  3. Press Scan button on printer or use software interface.
  4. Select destination (application, folder, email).
  5. Adjust settings (resolution, format) if needed.
  6. Start scan.

Supported Formats: PDF, JPEG, TIFF, BMP. Resolution up to 600 dpi for standard documents.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug printer before cleaning exterior.

  1. Exterior: Wipe with soft, dry cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents.
  2. Scanner Glass: Clean with lint-free cloth and glass cleaner. Spray onto cloth, not directly on glass.
  3. Paper Path: Remove paper jams carefully following guide in manual.
  4. Internal Cleaning: Run cleaning cycle via utility software if print quality declines.

CAUTION! Never use abrasive materials. Keep toner cartridge away from light.

Driver & Software

Included Software: Printer driver, ControlCenter (scan utility), User's Guide (PDF).

Installation: Run setup from CD or download latest from support.brother.com. Follow on-screen instructions.

Network Setup (optional with adapter): Install network driver, connect via Ethernet, run BRAdmin to configure.
