Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a stable, level surface near a power outlet and computer.

  1. Remove all packing materials and tapes from inside and outside the unit.
  2. Install the toner cartridge: Open front cover, remove cartridge from packaging, shake gently, insert until it clicks.
  3. Load paper: Pull out paper tray, adjust guides, load up to 250 sheets of plain paper.
  4. Connect power cord to rear of unit and plug into AC outlet.
  5. Connect USB cable to printer and computer (do not connect until software prompts).

WARNING! Do not touch the green drum surface of the toner cartridge. Avoid placing in direct sunlight or humid areas.

First-Time Setup

Power on the printer; follow on-screen software installation.

  1. Insert the Software CD into your computer or download drivers from Brother website.
  2. Run the installer and follow prompts; connect USB cable when instructed.
  3. Print a test page to verify installation.
  4. Set fax settings if using fax function: Date, time, station ID.
  5. Configure default print settings via printer properties (draft, normal, fine).

CAUTION! Ensure the printer is on a flat surface to prevent paper jams.

Tip: Use a high-quality USB cable no longer than 10 feet for reliable communication.

Printing & Copying

Supports standard and custom print/copy jobs.

  1. Printing: Select 'Brother DCP-350C' as printer in application, set options, click Print.
  2. Copying: Place original on scanner glass or in ADF, use control panel to set number of copies, density, zoom (25% to 400%), press START.
  3. ID Copy: Place both sides of ID card on scanner, press ID COPY button, then START.
  4. N-Up Copy: Print multiple pages on one sheet via menu settings.
  5. Enlargement/Reduction: Use ZOOM buttons or preset sizes (A4→Letter, etc.).

WARNING! Do not copy banknotes or copyrighted material illegally. Allow printer to cool between large jobs.

Scanning Features

Scan to computer, email, or file.

  1. Place document face down on glass or face up in ADF.
  2. Press SCAN button on control panel or use computer software (ControlCenter).
  3. Select scan destination (file, OCR, image, email).
  4. Set resolution (up to 600 dpi), color mode (black/white, grayscale), file format (PDF, JPEG, etc.).
  5. Press START to scan.

Note: For OCR, ensure text is clear; use 300 dpi or higher for best results.

Maintenance & Supplies

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance.
