Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface near power outlet.

1. Install toner cartridge: Open front cover, remove packing material, insert cartridge until it clicks.
2. Load paper: Adjust paper guides in tray, load up to 150 sheets of plain paper.
3. Connect power: Plug power cord into printer and wall outlet.

Controls and Indicators

Maintenance & Supplies

Replace toner when indicator lights or print becomes faint. Use Brother TN-450 toner cartridge (approx. 2,600 pages).

2. Unpack new cartridge, gently shake side-to-side.
3. Insert until clicks, close cover.
4. Reset toner counter via menu if required.

Cleaning: Unplug printer. Wipe exterior with dry cloth. Clean scanner glass with soft, lint-free cloth and glass cleaner if needed.

CAUTION! Do not use alcohol or abrasive cleaners on scanner glass.

Network Setup (Optional)

For network models (e.g., DCP-1510W), connect via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.

1. Wired: Connect Ethernet cable to router and printer.
2. Wireless: Use control panel menu to select network, enter password.
