Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, flat surface.

  1. Charge the battery: Connect the provided USB cable to the printer and a power source.
  2. Load paper: Open paper tray, align paper, and adjust guides.
  3. Install ink cartridge: Open cartridge door, insert cartridge, and close securely.
  4. Power on: Press the Power button until indicator lights up.

WARNING! Keep printer away from water and heat sources. Use only Brother-approved accessories.

First-Time Setup

Power on printer; follow app prompts for initial configuration.

  1. Download Brother MPrint app: Available on iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
  2. Connect via Bluetooth: Enable Bluetooth on mobile device, pair with printer.
  3. Configure Wi-Fi (optional): Use app to connect printer to your wireless network.
  4. Test print: Print a test page from the app to verify setup.

CAUTION! Ensure printer is fully charged before first use. Do not disconnect during setup.

Connecting Devices

  3. For Wi-Fi, select your network and enter password when prompted.
  4. For USB, connect printer to computer using USB cable.

Tip: Keep printer within range of connected device (up to 10 meters for Bluetooth).

Printing from Mobile Devices

Supports documents, photos, emails, and web pages.

  1. Open document or photo on your mobile device.
  2. Select Share or Print option, choose Brother MPrint.
  3. Adjust settings: Paper size, quality, number of copies.
  4. Tap Print to start printing.
  5. For web pages: Use Print function in browser or Brother MPrint app.
  6. Check ink levels: App displays remaining ink.
  7. Cancel print job: Use app or press Power button briefly.

WARNING! Do not remove paper during printing. Use recommended paper types.

Maintenance & Care

Unplug before cleaning. Use dry, lint-free cloth; avoid liquids.

  1. Clean exterior: Wipe with dry cloth.
  2. Clean print head: Use app's maintenance function.
  3. Replace ink: When app indicates low ink, install new Brother cartridge.
  4. Store properly: Keep in cool, dry place when not in use.

CAUTION! Do not touch print head or ink nozzles. Use genuine Brother ink only.
